Hi All,
I've just purchased this "Polish" hen at my local auction. I have only noticed now that it has 5 toes on one foot, and 4 on the other. Is it crossed with a 5 toed breed or a genetic defect? In some ways it wouldn't surprise me if it was crossed with a silkie but maybe not.
Note: In the photo with the close up of the feet, there are 3 toes at the bottom of the picture, and the extra one in question is almost joined to the little one next to it.
