Hi there!

I have 43 chickens total, 9 of whom are from my original flock and are about 1 1/2 years old. All 9 of them have what I'm 99% sure is chicken lice. I haven't seen the lice per say but all of them have the eggs around their vents. I found a picture online and am attaching for reference, this isn't my hen but this looks exactly the same.

My husband and I did Elector PSP in a pump spray bottle (like you spray weed solutions, attached a photo, not the same exact one but that style) and did the recommended dosage. We did all 43 birds to be safe and cleaned out the bedding and sprayed the two coops thoroughly. We did this all a week ago. We just checked one of the hens and she still has a ton of lice eggs around her vent area.

What should we do? Thank you for the help!

I Strongly suggest Neem Oil. In a large tub or 5 gallon bucket Mix 1-1 1/2 tablespoons of oil per gallon of warm water (and a drop of soap to help the water and oil mix more thoroughly). Then place you bird in the mixture. Submerge everything up to the neck and hold them there for a couple minutes until the feathers are saturated. If it's nice and sunny and warm outside you can just put them down. If it's not warm and sunny then wrap them in a dry towel, them finish up with the blowdryer. Lice isn't very tolerant to high heat which is a ~BONUS!~ that's it. One and done
