Hi everyone,
I am new here. After a whirlwind week of acquiring two hens, realizing that their existing coop was far too small and doing a bunch of research, I ended up buying this Amish-made coop kit that I quite like (I'm not very handy and would have had a hard time DIYing once with two toddlers to look after). I am trying to figure out where a couple of pieces go - for one, there seems to be an extra stand, would this be for the winter? I'm guessing I'd have to take the existing legs off in order to get the unpainted ones on. The other piece that I'm not sure about is the roosting bar. My husband said it fits better near the nesting box, but will they not be pooping in the nests? I guess I will find out tomorrow morning when I check on them.
I've included a link to the picture so you can make some sense out of my questions. Thanks in advance!
