I've had 7 chicks hatch all from the same clutch. All healthy and beautiful except one poor guy. I did some research and appears its hip joints are backwards and it's neck and head is also turned funny. He can't stand up or even lay on his belly.

I can post pictures but I don't feel it will change anything.

Should I let him stay in the incibator and grow or put him down?

Any help will be appreciated.

He is around 7 hours old. His two siblings that hatched last night are drying and walking around the incubator.

I would put him down if for sure you think it's deformed :( I'm sorry....I hate when things like this happen.

I've been trying to help him all morning. Poor thing can't stand or hold its head up. One leg was bigger than the other and turned backwards. I thought it might be dislocated but it wasn't. It grew that way.

This was a whole whole lot harder than I thought it would be. But I put him down. Thanks for your input. My grandfather came over to look at him too. He's had 100's of chickens growing up and agreed it was best not to chance it and let him suffer.
