I just brought seven mix breeds of ducklings home last week. They are thriving and happy. I have been feeding them Grower 24% non-medicated starter.
I raised ducks before, but I don't remember how long to feed them this starter food. Is'nt 24% too much protein ?
I feed my other ducks and chickens 16-18% protein all backyard flock now. I'm thinking about 5 weeks I can give this to the baby ducks. right or wrong ?
I have been putting them in the tub everyday for about 10-15 min. I supervise them and they just love bathing. Then back to the box under the heat lamp to dry off. They sleep most of the day. Then they are up and cantankerous.... also, since the weather is warming up, about when can I put them outside w/ the other ducks ?
I will seperate them from the adults until they are almost full grown of course...........Thanks.....Ray
