Hi guys,
We have a Bearded Polish Chicken (I'm pretty sure that's it's breed... his/her name is Rocky). He is two months old now. We aren't sure what gender Rocky is, and have been trying to figure it out. We thought rooster at first because of how Rocky used to stand and act, but recently, Rocky has just been laying around and letting the other chickens go first. It's obvious that Rocky is lower on the pecking order, because the other chickens boss him around so much. I read that male polish chickens tend to be low on the pecking order, particularly if there is another male around. I don't know how accurate that info is, but we're really hoping Rocky is a hen. I took lots of pictures, if y'all need any other angles, let me know, and I'll try to catch him again. He's super skittish so he's hard to grab.

I figured, I'll see what more people say, I know people say they're hard to sex. Do male polish chickens usually harass other chickens or do they stay to themselves?

I also read that bantams crow earlier than a full sized chicken would, and my sebright does try, but Rocky doesn't. Don't know if this is helpful or not.
