I've got a couple chicks that hatched about 5 weeks ago, and I'm pretty sure one of them is a roo, but I'd like confirmation. I also thought the second one was a rooster when its feathers first started coming in because its tail seemed long, but now that it has more feathers, I'm not at all sure. Its comb hasn't really grown that prominent and is still yellow.
Here's the one I think is a roo. It's a mutt (blue bantam cochin hen x black tailed red OEGB rooster).
Here's the one I used to think was a roo but am now thinking maybe I was wrong. It's an OEGB, but it's a mixed color (spangled or black OEGB hen (I'm thinking black) x black tailed red rooster). This chick is 2 or 3 days older than the other one and has feathered in very fast, while the other one is feathering in much more slowly.
Sorry that second batch of pics is a bit blurry. My camera didn't want to cooperate with that chick for some reason, which is also why it has demon eyes in some pics. ^^; I may need to get better pics of the second chick, but any advice on their genders is appreciated.
