Help with humidity on incubation

Need immediate help please!
So I did miscount days on chic hatch in my mini incubator. I understand about the shrink wrap on chic if opened, but in order to add water I have to unplug and open lid since well is inside. The sponge is dry and don’t see any water in well. I have at least two healthy chics ready to hatch, but locked down 2 days early. Twenty first day (21st) is actually June 2, 2022. What or how should I add water to inside well??? Please Help don’t want to lose chics. Thank u so much.

Open it and add the water, but use warm water so it starts to evaporate in minutes. Measure the time it takes for water in the well to dissipate. So you know how long it will last.
