Because I am new I can not post images or links to images of the chicks, could I send the links to photos to a member so that they can post them under this topic?

Hello! :)
I've had four chicks brought home from a nursery who hatched them to show the children there for a week now and would like to know the sex and breed. I've done research and had a guess at what I think they are but I've never had chickens before and don't think i'm right... I'd love them all to be girls so I could keep them all but I know that's unlikely... )':

The eggs were sold as mixed pure breed eggs and in the photos they are just under a week old.

I have no idea what the last two chicks could be.. :S

Photo's below

The first two below I believe to be marans with cuckoo markings because of other photos of maran chicks i've seen. In a book I bought, it says the male chicks are usually lighter, and one of the 'maran' chicks has much lighter feathers. These two chicks like to be handled the least, always making a fuss when picked up.

Here is Lucario, the chick I believe to be a male maran.

Lucario also has the largest comb of all the chicks.

This is Mudkip, the other chick I believe to be a maran, but has lighter markings so i'm guessing a female.

This chick has no name yet, I have no clue what breed this chick is either, it's quite a bit smaller than the other three.
Also there are tiny areas of feathers on the chicks feet and there are grey parts on the wings and tail feathers

Finally here is Shinx, this chick is the friendliest and I will be really upset if it's male... );
It's feathers are the darkest of all the chickies.

No problem, as far as I can see I do think Lucario is a roo and Mudkip is a pullet. (As far as I can see) The mystery chick..possibly pullet and, i've seen this breed or something close to it. It's on the tip of my tongue

I'll edit or post again if it comes to me.

Mystery Chick looks like an Isa Brown, but what do I know? I only think that cause it's got brown/gray growing in.

The fourth chick I'm sure is a Black Australorp with those white tips on the ends of the wings.... looks just like mine did at that age, she/he will grow to be solid black with a greenish sheen to the feathers and the legs should become grey/black as she matures. (the second chicks looks like it could also be a BA, however, I am not familiar with Marans myself -you could be right!) I have no idea on the third one, sorry! Is it a bantam??? The way it carries itself looks different from the rest. I was thinking it could be a Porcelin D' Uccle (dew-clay) with poorly feathered feet at this point. Good luck, quessing/waiting to find out is half the fun of having chicks!
