Hi all - I have seen a number of threads on this site relating to peafowl, so I hope you don't mind me asking a related question!
I have a peahen who has been sitting on eggs for the whole day, then getting off and roosting in the tree at night. She's been doing this for about a week. Am I right to assume these eggs won't be viable as the incubation would have started in the day and then cooled at night? Has anyone has any similar experiences??
Many thanks for your help!!

Have you tried candling to see if there is any development? I wouldn’t think their chances would be very good if mama has been off of them every night.

No not yet - to be honest I've literally only just found the nest she was sneaking off too! She was very well hidden! I've just finished incubating a clutch which didn't hatch but made it to full development so that's been really sad and I didn't want to start thinking about it unless I knew there was a chance!
