Hello Everyone!

We have a problem with integrating and need some help fast!!

We have:

1 Barred Rock
1 Rhode Island Red
1 Buff Orpington

And we are trying to integrate into them:

2 Blue Andulsians
2 Dominques

The young ones are now laying and are very big but there is still a problem ):
They now live together and the Dominques are doing fine but the Blue Andulsians are not doing too well (as I have said before) Our Barred Rock (Who just happened to be named Insane lol) is a GREAT layer but when the blues get too close she jumps on top of them like a roo and starts to try to tear them up and she has not been doing a bad job of it. They are not looking too good. Their coop can hold up to 10 (it is the Henspa) and we now have 7 in it. Insane has been mean all of her life but this is worse then what has happened before. Also now she will also try to hurt the others but they are better at getting away.
Any help will be GREATLY appreciated!!!!

Thank you VERY much!!

Sounds like it may be time for Chicken & Dumplings!

Or you could seperate Insane from the rest of the flock for a while. Let them establish a new pecking order and then introduce her back into the flock. This could bring her down a notch.

Put Insane in chicken jail for a week or so and try again. I find it helpfull to put a hanging cabbage or other treat in with them on integration day. It gives them something to mess with besides each other.

I think the others have answered: Insane is living up to her name and has to be taught a lesson. Remove her and give her a week of time out and see if she will behave. You are trying to rehabilitate a bully. let's hope for her sake that she has a brain to learn:)
