My 6 month old pullet wasnt doing so hot. Sleepy, didnt want treats, constantly drinking and squirting it out the other end. Turn out her crop was jammed and huge.
I took her to the vet and they gave me 3 liquid medicines. Baytril, metoclopramide and nystatin. I was only able to get her to eat a very small amount and a little in her eye. How do i get her to eat it? One thought was to soak it into bread, but she isnt too crazy about bread to start with.

You can drip into mouth with a eye dropper or use a syringe without a needle - do not squirt down throat. You can buy dried meal worms at TSC and inject meds into them. A treat they are sure to like.

The dried worms wouldnt be tough on her? She doesnt have an appetite right now, but i think its due to stress. She is drinking, alert and not squirting, which is good.

You could get some plain regular yogurt to mix with a little feed and put meds in it. Make it like a paste, not soupy Yogurt is good for digestion and will hide the med taste.

Not a bad idea.

The vet said to not eat the eggs. I was wondering if second hand antibiotics would hurt me or if there is another reason.
