i live in Ocala Florida and my neighbor and I have been loosing chickens and ducks right and left we finally caught the culprit check this out

please when you rebuild their coop use weld mesh or hardware cloth as it may be called, this is much more stronger than chicken wire which is very weak, it seems odd it is called chicken wire really as many people build their runs with it but it can only really keep chickens in but is no match for predators with teeth.

Awww, crap norabell! That sucks! I have golden eagles & hawks. But it's the foxes & coons that really get mine! Grrrrrr!

Oh no, norabell, I'm so sorry! I loved mine too.
This was my first time losing my flock, so it was a hard lesson to learn.
I was even more frustrated that they were nabbed in their sleep versus when I knew I was taking a risk by letting them free range.

And, yes, absolutely about the chicken wire x1,000,000. We knew better, but hadn't got around to upgrading it.
Trust me, I feel super guilty about it. I know I let them down.
Our last coop was like Fort Knox compared to this one, we just got complacent and settled for what we bought.
But, I do look forward to showing you guys my new coop and flock.
