We are trying to rid ourselves of mice and rats. They are in our feed barn. We store food for horses in there and have seen some unwanted pests. We have food in metal garbage cans but they are getting into some unopened bags of horse grain. There are traps set and glue strips set. Was thinking about the electronic pest eliminator. Don,t know if it works or if its harmful to chickens. Advice please.

Okay, I'm a bleeding heart, because I HATE the sticky traps!! Don't get me wrong, my mousers catch/kill mice, and I've fed mice to pet snakes before, but I hate methods of killing that aren't quick (I like the old fashioned snap traps). I don't think there's a much better system to keep mice at bay than a few good mousers (cats). I have two, and they're invaluable. I have three cats, but one can barely catch grasshoppers. Of course spay/neuter, and provide food/water. Good mousers do it for the hunt, not for their dinner...
