Hello,

I am new here but I have a question. I have a chicken coop with two mother hens and two different aged bunches of chicks. The one set is 28 days old and the other set is 19 days old. I also have raised some store bought chicks myself, wanted some bigger chickens, in the bathroom and they are also 28 days old. I would love to get them out of the bathroom and move them to the coop but the mother hen of the 19 day old chicks is MEAN. I want to remove both mother hens and just leave all the babies together in the coop, what do you think? I live in Northern California so it is HOT here, no worry about the tempurature getting too low. I turned one of my horse stalls in my Mare Motel into the chicken coop so there is shade and a small breeze that blows thru. Thank you for any help you can give.

You can remove the hens at night, just as you would when you move them to set.
