I purchased three straight run bantams from Tractor Supply, and now worry that they all may be cockerels
The first is my FAVORITE. Flies up onto my shoulder, nestles into the crook of my arm... just a really special little chick (Japanese Bantam?)
The comb has me quite worried...
Next is an oddball. Heavily feathered legs (cochin) and pretty long neck. Very Upright stanceBantam Silver Penciled Cochin?
Cockerel, I assume
Lastly, a Porcelain D’Uccle (seems like the hatchery TSC uses is churning these babies out!) Very sweet, hoping she’s a pullet... comb is pale.
The three are all so friendly and tame! It will break my heart to have to re-home any of them. I don’t know what I was thinking by purchasing straight run chicks... I’m never that lucky!
