Help with white hen

Hi all!

So we had this other hen and we don't know the breed either.

Young hen, has not started laying yet. Mostly white with brown and grey spray, but the inner feathers look kind of greay with blue or purple.

The hen is very social and lost fear in about a week. It sounds like a clarinet sometimes hahaha

1. Where did you get the birds? Farmer in Belgium, Flandes

2. Are they from a feed store, hatchery, or breeder? Breeder

4. The farmer had Harco, Leghorn, Sussex, Marans, some others and small hens with feathered legs

Mixed breed, very pretty.

Yes, it is a mixed breed. Of what, tough to say. It looks kind of like a Sussex but has yellow legs. Maybe a Leghorn cross? I'm just not sure but it is very pretty.

We have checked and indeed the body shape is similar to a Leghorn, still somewhat different.

Nix started laying this week while fighting fowl pox!! She was doing good and we saw a little surprise on the coop!

The eggs are small, pearl white and a bit pink. The shell is a bit hard and polished, and more on the long side than round. In the pictures we are comparing them to our Bleu de Landes.

We're super thrilled!!
