Wow, I never thought I'd be so involved or care for chickens as much as a
has HAPPENED LOL....I never knew of bumble foot or to regularly check their feet for it... SOoooo
I'm learning on my poor Rhody... It's been 2 weeks, I've given her penicillin for 3 days, have been soaking her foot with epsom salt every day for 5 days... I just received my order for Tricide-Neo..
I've cut out some plug and squeezed out a large canaliculi...yuck..... what more can or what else should I do?? It IS THE SIZE OF A NICKLE ON HER FOOT!!

It's not necessary to keep soaking her foot.
Wrap it up and let it heal.

Having chickens is a lot more involved than I ever thought and I'm more attached to them for their well being than I ever thought I would be.
.... now I have a hen that wants to sleep on the coop floor, I had to remove #1 rooster because of bumble foot too ... could she miss him?
