We have 3 ducks, 2 female and a male, our 1 female began to lay eggs, i have not seen the other one lay any, but here is my question.... she lasid 21 eggs in ine nest and has been been sitting on them for 2 weeks, i opened the back door to check on her nest asnd noticed one of the ducks moved 5 eggs and made a different nest about 5 feet from the other one, why did this happen? And should i be worried? Im really excited about this as it is my first time having eggs but dont understand what is going on? Can anyone help me understand what is happening? Thank u

:welcome 21 eggs is probably too many for one hen to cover effectively. Perhaps the second hen is about to go broody. Good luck for a successful hatch. I would be tempted to candle the eggs and discard any that are not viable.

All of the 16 r fertile but the other nest of 5 are cold and i see nothing, should i wait to see if the other will sit on them?

I would put up a temporary fence so no other Hens can interfere with the nest anymore. I had two Hens go Broody and the one Hen stole the others eggs so was sitting on a pile. I took out 5 and incubated them myself and left her with 8 eggs. I have 6 Ducklings from that hatch and sold the 5 I incubated. Good luck with the hatch...
