Is this a rooster?? it is bigger than the other hen that is suppose to be the same age and it charges at 2 of the other chicks

It is a buff orpington and it was already feathered out alot when we got them 2/17

That's a handsome mixed breed cockerel. He's not a full buff orpington, but he could be mixed with orpington.

Looks more like a New Hampshire Red than anything.... Farm store signs certainly don't guarantee what you're getting.

Agree with Alex. The reason I say he's not an orpington (and actually, neither is your pullet) because they have yellow legs and shouldn't have black in the tail.
