I have a silkie chick that has become lethargic but the only symptom I can see is his left eye is shut, it’s like he can’t open it. So I seperated immediately.

Today I came outside and my black silkie hen has her eye shut and it’s kind of swollen and cloudy. There is some Grey gunk on it. But she is walking around fine, (she is separated) she even laid an egg. I’m not for sure what to do.

Can you apply a warm, damp compress to the hen’s gunky eye to soften the gunk, and then flush it with sterile saline? How is the chick at this point?
