Hi. I have a 3 day baby chick who after her first day stopped walking/standing and grew weak.

I have been feeding her through an eye drop. I’ve given her egg yolk (this explains her matted head - wee pet) sugar water and multi vitamins in water.

she has definitely grown stronger, however, she is still not standing or walking. I had also strapped her feet and legs, but have since removed them with no change. Not sure if it would work as she had been walking after she hatched.

Also do her feet look swelled?

I am not s expert but her feet do look swollen. She my have hatched with week legs. I she could have tripped a broken them. I would advice that you rap her legs sanest you can. Befor you do that feel her legs and see if anything seems crooked. Also can she mive her toes? When in of my birds fractured her leg we made sure that she could move her toes. To check we tickled the pads in her feet.

Thank you for that. I tried to get her (not sure it’s a her btw) to move her feet but she didn’t. It’s been a tough 3 days for the wee pet but she’s definitely gotten stronger. If I could just get her walking I think she’d definitely be ok...

Ok, well try to keep her feet raped it might help her stand and swelling. Also look into spraddle leg. You can also add some sticks on the sides of her legs to help keep them straight. Maybe if you hold her with her feet flat on the floor. Slowly let her hold her self up over the span of a week of two. I am not an expert but I try to help.
