One of my hens got a swollen stomach a few months ago and we tried draining it but nothing came out. We gave her an epsom salt bath and checked for an egg. But she wasn't egg bound. After that the swelling went down. So we left her alone but now it swelled up again. It is really big this time. It is probably just a little bigger than a softball. She is waddling around the coop and is having trouble getting on and off the roost. Any advice or tip would be very helpful

Ascites or 'waterbelly' is a sign of organ failure and can be caused by several different conditions/diseases.
IMO, it's always eventually fatal and euthanasia is called for.
