I have a broody outside sitting on eggs, and it is going to snow !

isn't this just my luck, will she and the eggs be okay or will I have to do something ?

Help !!!

Well, I'm pretty new to chicken keeping, but I was just thinking, if she's a large fowl breed and the snow isn't going to be super heavy, do you have anything you can "cover" her with? --like an old dog house or top to a cat-litter box....anything? Anything to keeping the wind off of her and keeping the snow from piling up on her.

Good luck!

all right it has been poring rain here and it is supposed to snow , and when I just went out there a second ago her nest was flooded and she was setting in water.

so I cleaned it out and tossed the real eggs , washed the fake ones ,cleaned out and replaced the nesting box shavings , raised it off the ground and isolated her from the others. all the while it is raining ice water my shoes were drenched and it was 30 something degrees. so I will have to give her more eggs tomorrow.

oh and she is a black star hen.

yes she was sitting in the muddy goop on the eggs, at least she will be a good mommy.

That's what I thought too but she is not taking the move well so I am hoping that she will settle down again. she probably just thinks that her spot was better.
