So I was cleaning the pasty butt of my chicks and I noticed that one started to bleed after I was finished after looking closer there was a cut cause him to bleed! And I’m so concerned about him, I put some cream on it but I’m more worried about if he’s going to be okay. He’s walking good but a little wobbly. is that normal for them the wobble after me cleaning them? Does anyone know?

:welcome sorry for the problems. The wobbling is likely a result of conditions causing the pasty butt not your cleaning. Applying antibiotic ointment and making sure the other chicks do not peck him are things to do. Good luck in resolving this.

It is very difficult to remove the stuck on poo without tearing or hurting that super soft chick skin.

You can put a drop of olive oil on the vent to help the poo slide off and not stick.

But you will need to watch the wound, since if it scabs the scab might make it harder for the chick to poo, and might stick more to the poo.

Again, keep it oiled, or a safe ointment or cream. Moist wound healing is what you want.

Next time you need to remove stuck on poo, use a warm to the touch wet towel to soak off the poo.
