Picked this chick up today from a friend, and was wondering if anybody know what breed and gender this chick is? It has lots of energy is a an escape artist.

Likely an Easter egger. I know its cute but letting it ride on you isn't a habit you want to encourage.
X2, chickens like to peck shiny things, and what's shinier than your eyes? You'll probably want to stop this as the chick gets bigger. Is this an "only" chicken, or does it have companions? I'm really digging its chocolate down! I hope it stays this color as it gets older, I think it's very pretty.

It's cute. What color are its legs/ feet? Hard to tell on my phone.
It’s legs/feet are blackish-gray.

It has a silkie companion, and it is a very beautiful bird, which is why I’m trying to figure out the breed. I’m starting to think it’s some kind of hybrid. And I’m not too worried about it being on my shoulders, I don’t let it very often, and I will not allow it to go on my shoulders when it gets older. It’s just so flighty when I pick it up it climbs up there. lol

Good plan! Just keep in mind that you may have an argument on your hands when you do decide to tell it "no!" Lol - it's learning that the top of your shoulder is a good place to be, and every time it goes there, that lesson is reinforced. You don't want to be arguing about this with an 8 to 10-lb rooster some day down the road! 🤣 Not saying your chick is a male, too early to tell. Just something to think about.

Let me ask @EmmaRainboe if she can determine what breed(s) this chick might be.
