Hey there! I've recently got a batch of ducklings. Today, I checked ont ehm and they were fine, and I came back a few hours later to find one had died. I have raised baby chickens and adolescent ducks before so I know this isn't uncommon. However, I can't find a reason for it to have died. They all seemed healthy and were eating and drinking. It was away from the heatsource but the others were fine under it, so I don't think it overheated or got cold. Is there anything I can do to make sure it doesn't happen? They have constant fresh food and water. I'm just a b worried for the babies.

Yes they did, I was worried about that. I've calmed down a bit and chalked it up to shipping distress/just something wrong with the bird. Do you have any advice for reducing the stress of the remaining ducks?
Sugar water can help but just letting them rest is best

I lost 2 tiny Runner ducklings to shipping stress back in 2019 after I lost them the 2 that survived I started giving them scrambled eggs every day and they loved them. I honestly believe that is what saved the 2.
