Last night when I fed every thing was fine! This morning when I went out to check on everybody my mallard was in the corner not moving. It can't move it tries to walk but just falls over. I don't see any wounds or missing feathers. He does look like his face on one side is swollen really big. When he tries to walk he falls right on his face. his legs don't look or feel broken but he moves like they are. What should we do? Poor Shreik.....

Could a snake have gotten to him..His face swollen sounds like a bite maybe even a spider,,You didnt say how old he is? Could he have been stepped on by the ducks if there are any!..

He is 2 years. SNAKE, YIKES!

I hope not! I have never had any problems with snakes. He is in with his 2 girl friends, but they don't fight or pick on each other. How would I know if it were a sinus infection?

I hope your duck is doing better by now. Have you been able to do anything for him?

This is what I can find about sinus infection in ducks: The symptom of sinus infection is a swollen sinus (between the bill and the eye). There may also be nasal discharge, foamy eyes, and throat rattles. It can be caused by various microorganisms, but usually it's Mycoplasma gallisepticum, which stays dormant untill the duck is stressed by such things as moving to a new pen, sudden feed changes, drastic weather changes, or inadequate diet. An infected duck should be isolated from other ducks and given antibiotics.

I don't know if that fits your ducks symptoms. Could be a bite too. Maybe if you post your question on this forum more people would see it: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewforum.php?id=10
Hope
your Mallard gets better, let us know.
