Ok I got broiler hens and they are about two months old. Today one died...for no reason. All were fine this morning and then we were gone all day. I went in to lock them up and she was sitting in the corner twitching. Her crop was not full so she must not have eaten anything in a while. When she died a bunch of liquid ran out of her mouth. Does anyone know what could have done this? We took her far away from our house so no close animals would get the taste of chicken, plus we didnt want to take a chance and eat her. I just dont want this to be something that spreads! Any help?? I didnt see any marks on her or blood or anything.

I am just guessing but I think maybe she had a heart problem where she is a 8 week old broiler. Just my 2 cents

Thanks, it was almost like she couldnt breath but that could have just been her dying. I dont know much about this but I could see how they could have heart failure. They do grow fast and they eat like pigs. I guess I will just watch the others and try to make sure they dont run around too much.
