One of my three-day-old chicks has a white-shiny bulge coming out of the bum area. What is it? Is there anything I can do to help it?

I went to take a picture and could no longer see the problem. But now two of the bums look like they have poo on them. Pasty butt I'm guessing. Perhaps the white buldge was the chick straining to get out poo? I'm going to clean up the bums and have a closer look.
