So my Pekin ducks just laid there first set of eggs almost a month ago. The girl has been sitting on the nest this whole month and its almost time for them to hatch. I went out there today and there was one eggs in the middle of the pen that was semi hatched. It was half open but the duck died. The mother and father just walked around it. So I had to toss it out. But it was almost fully developed. So any day now the other eggs should hatch. But my dad is thinking that I should take the eggs out of the nest and put them in a little bucket or something. But I want to know peoples opinions first. And if I should take them out how should I do this? PLEASE HELP I NEED ADVICE!

Eggs aren't going to hatch in a bucket. Unless you have a decent to high quality incubator, remove the drake from the pen and leave the hen to hatch them.

I don't understand the reason for the bucket. To help them hatch? How?
Remove your drake and let your duck do what ducks do.

Idk my dad isn't a big duck guy he has no idea what he is doing. I will just remove the drake and hopefully the female will do whats right.
