Dear readers!,
I have tried hatching eggs before and failed! Sadly. I was hatching chicks for a science project, but they didnt hatch! So now i have to start all over! I just got my new batch of 8 eggs yesterday and put them in this morning at 6:00. I came home from school to see it at 104 degrees! I quickly turned it down. The temperature has been stable for a week before at 100 degrees! Its stable now! Will my chickens survive????? I need them!!!
Sincerely,
Lilcountrygirl

It depends on how long they were at 104, but there's still a chance they are okay. I have had 104 temp spikes in early incubation before without causing serious harm. Don't give up hope yet! In a few days you should be able to candle them and see if they are developing.

I agree with bugglesmommy.

Here is a good chart to monitor air cell growth on your eggs. I reccomend tracing the air cell's with a pencil when you candle. Try candling on day 7, 14, and 18. The air cell growth will tell you if your eggs need more humidity, or if your eggs have too little humidity. If the air cell is too big, more humidity is needed.

Remember to always wash your hands before and after handling your eggs. This helps prevent germs and bacteria from entering your incubator and your eggs.

Good luck! Let me know how it turns out for you.
