My friends hen was on the floor not moving or eating or drinking, when he picked it up a load of fluid came from her mouth, she is making funny noises and is very weak, any ideas please

She is a warren about 12 months old, has green watery poop, any ideas please?

My chickie had the same symptoms. Unfortunately she died. I gave her electrolyte water ever hour for 24 hours. But right after that happened she died.

Sounds like sour crop perhaps?

What can I do?

Find a way to gently hold her upside and massage her crop until all the goop comes out. Do this once or twice a day until it clears up. Also, you can mix 2 tablespoons of raw apple cider vinegar in a gallon of water for her ( this also beneficial for your whole flock, so it's okay if everyone drinks it ) and give her probiotics with her food. Plain, non-flavored, no sugar added yogurt is a great way to do this. This should help clear it up
