My chicks are on day 20 incubation and have been internally pipped for over 24 hours. I can see that they are alive when candling. I know I'm not suppose to candle them at this point but I had given up on them to be honest. I have incubated tons of chicks and have never had any take this long to pip. I can see it opening it's beak inside the air sac but no sound. At what point to I help? I have 6 in there and non have hatched yet. I have had an average of 99.5-100.5 the entire time. I'm not sure on humidity. I have just always kept the trays full with a wash cloth and sponge at the bottom and have never had a problem before. Thanks in advance!

Not sure the duration between internal pip and external pip...especially on day 20.
I'd advise to be patient...and while waiting read these 2 articles?

Scroll down this article about 3/4 of the way.

......and this if you need to assist.
