Help!

I found one of my six day old chick acting very weird when I can home! She was holding her neck and head to one side and then just fell over! The others were pecking her so I took her out to isolate her from the others. It's like she just lays on her side and is gasping for air, maybe, her little neck is going up and down when she breathes. She has her eyes closed but all of a sudden she will open her eyes real wide and jump up and then she falls back over! I don't know what to do!!!!! Can someone please help me?!!!! Paula

Hi I wanted to give you an update on my chick. She made it through the night! She has wry neck. I called a poultry expert at NC State University Vet Clinic and told her the symptoms and she confirmed it. I had done research half the night on the internet and another lady experienced the same thing and she had pics of her silkie. I went to Walmart and purchased Poly vi sol, vitamin E, Selenium, Bayer baby aspirin, yogurt and Enfamil. Today she is wAlking around and eating. she doesn't like to be by herself, so it's been a long day just sitting around holding her. I think someone mY be spoiled rotten by the end of this, but I am so happy she feels some better! Thanks for your interest and taking the time to reply to me. Paula

I hope so! She is eating, drinking the Enfamil, and pooping normally. She is getting very spoiled from being held and chirps very loud when I put her back in her cage. Lol. She is in the house with a heating pad with a towel over it. She is also walking around and preening. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
