Hen acts like rooster.

My 'hen' acts like a rooster...and she had out grown both mine and my neighbors rooster. I got her from a friend so I'm not sure what type she is or how old she is. I am 95% sure that she was laying when I got her with 3 other hens about 4 months ago. She does mount the other hens...ours and my neighbors...and she does kinda fight sometimes with the 2 other confirmed roosters. Usually they don't bother with her though. She has begun rooster crowing in the past 2 weeks.

Well now...he looked and acted just like the 20 hens he was living with when I got him. And he still doesn't act like the other roosters...maybe just young? Can y'all tell what breed he is? Thanks for the info...I guess he's a boy named Bertha now.

He's cute with those short little legs I agree on keeping the name Bertha sounds like some crazy truck drivers name.

I would end up calling him Bert. Of course I would have to name a hen Earnie then.


He could be many things including crele leghorn, bielefelder, and even a mix.
