They both look like hens to me, they have light yellow combs not bright red ones. The combs are not particularly large and the legs aren't particularly thick. They both have short hennish tails, I'd say both girls.

hmm, you think that the second looks like a cock? It has an aweful tiny tail, and the legs are pretty thin. the comb is slightly bigger than the others but it is still pretty light and small to be a roo.

given the age of the chicks that comb is way to big for that age to be a pullet. plus if it was a pullet it also wouldnt have such large wattles already

yea the 9 week old is a pullet and the 7 week old is defiantly a cockrel. The 7 week old already has a bigger more red comb than the one that is older

Yay, thanks. I hatched out 5 in my bator and the other three are definately roos. I was afraid I wasnt gonna get any hens this time.
