Hen attacked by coyote

Yesterday he dropped her when we ran out. Vet stitched her up. Said she has a dislocated shoulder but it could heal. But he was worried about emphysema bc of air sacks. She isn't walking and flaps her wings. It's been about 24 hrs. Could it still be shock? How long should we wait?

I'm sorry about your hen.

Did the vet give you any aftercare instructions or medications?

Where was she injured? She may have suffered internal or spinal damage which may take time heal, if at all.

Work her through shock by giving electrolytes or sugar water. Do provide food for her once she's hydrated.
