HEN CAN HARDLY WALK AND HAS TAIL DOWN HELP

My hen has been ill for about 4 days. She can hardly walk, she has her tail down and she has greenish poo. She is eating and drinking but I'm really worried! What is wrong with her and what can I do to help?

If it's a meat bird it probably has kinky back. Then, sadly, you must cull it for its own sake. Sorry, but otherwise no idea. Talk to the person who sold you the chicks/eggs. Read books on chickens.

We've had her for about 4years so I'm not sure if it's that. Thanks you for the reply though, I'll watch out for kinky back if I get any chicks in the summer

Actually I did a little research, and apparently the green poo means it has liver function issues.

Could mean, but not a certainty. Have you checked her vent in case she's egg bound? Search for 'egg bound' in the forums.

I think she was egg bound. I tried steaming her vent and putting olive oil on it, I also massaged her body. I would have given her a bath but it was raining so I couldn't. Sadly she passed away this morning, I'm devastated.
