My hen emerged from some bushes dragging her right foot. The main pad is twice the size of her left foot and the area is warm. We put her in a covered hospital cage in the shade outdoors (it's about 75 degrees) with water and food. She's been panting and breathing fast but won't drink water.

Should I give her Benedryl? Aspirin? Or do something else?

Sounds like she got stung by a bee. Have you looked at the underside of her swollen foot? Sounds like she is having a reaction, you might have to do something quick and if you can’t run her to the vet, maybe try Benadryl. I wouldn’t know how much to give her though, if she was my chicken I might try a quarter tablet if you can’t get her to a aviary vet. Hopefully one of the other members on here would know. That has not been something I have had to deal with in a chicken, but it happened to my toy Chihuahua. I rushed her to the vet immediately. If you don’t get a answer really soon, try to Google it with chicken and Benadryl dosage.

She's put weight on the foot and wants to go run with the other chickens! TY for the advice! For now, she's not gonna be able to do that as she's still panting and with high resp rate. She has an issue, but being that she just ate a human-portion piece of watermelon, I doubt the issue is dehydration. I

how is she doing? Has she recovered?

She did recover by the next day.

To help anyone who encounters this, here's what happened:

My chicken got stung by a bee on her right foot pad. When she stumbled out, she couldn't walk. Then she started panting.

I put neosporin over the foot after observing how hot it was to the touch. We then put her in a hospital cage and gave her 1/4 of an adult aspirin, followed two hours later by 1/4 an adult Benedryl, repeated two hours after. She wouldn't drink water but ate a lot of watermelon (including that which held the meds). We covered the hospital cage except for a small area where she could see the others and they could see her, and brought her in the house for one night.

The next day, she was fine and resumed laying activity.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions on this--it worked!
