Hi Everyone,

I have two blue langshan chickens. One roo and one hen. They are Bonnie and Clyde. They are 28 weeks tomorrow.

Clyde has been crowing for about 2 months now. Friday morning I went to open their house to let everyone out before work and of course Clyde is crowing in house :). I started to walk away and heard a low sounding rough crow. Sounded like when Clyde first was learning to crow. The only other chickens still in the house at that point were Bonnie and Mocha (my mottled java) who is about a year and half old.

Is it possible that one of the hens decided to start crowing for some reason?

Here are pics of Bonnie and Clyde. The pics are 2 months old. I need a new picture of Clyde, he is much bigger and quite handsome!

Thanks,
Colette

Watch her carefully next time and see if she crows, it's not very common for a hen to crow especially if there is a boy already crowing.

It's possible and not a big deal...Chickens verbalize with many sounds..Possible she will never do it again...That last Bird actually looks like a Cockerel to me though....
Last image is a duplicate of the first, which contains the OP's known rooster.
