Hen eye injury or infection?

Thank you so much, I will keep doing it and keep you all updated. Someone mentioned that as a possibility too, but all other 30+ birds are healthy.

What makes you think it could be respiratory infection? Is there anyway I can test it somehow?

I highly suspect that it was one of the roosters that did it… that rooster went to soup yesterday after hurting another Roosters eye the day prior.

I am fairly new to homesteading and I am learning a lot from senior members here and locally, please share any knowledge or advice, i appreciate all info i can get so my birds can enjoy their life while feeding us.

Thank you all…
Just asking if you had ever seen respiratory infection in your flock, but I agree, this looks more like injury.

Keep me posted on how she's getting along. I think if you tend to the eye at least once daily you'll see a big difference in a couple of days.

Thank you so much @Wyorp Rock and everyone else! Have you seen bee sting cause this? Am I overthinking this with the rooster?

The bubbles in your last photos along with the crusty drainage from the eye and the nostril look a bit like signs of mycoplasma (MG,) a common chronic respiratory disease. In addition to using Terramycin or Neosporin ointment in the eye, I would get some Tylosin antibiotic powder to treat the water. That can treat symptoms of MG. Here is where I find it:

Dosage is 1 tsp per gallon of water for 3-5 days. Limit it to just the sick chicken.

No, likely not a bee sting.

Hopefully the infection is from injury or a peck. I've seen bubbles when due to fighting/pecking injuries, but there's also a possibility the infection is due to respiratory infection like Mycoplasma.
Keep the eye cleaned and ointment applied.
Having an antibiotic on hand as suggested is a good idea. If the eye doesn't clear up within a day or two of treating it (cleaning/ointment) then you may need the medication.

There's no way to know if it's the rooster. Do you see her bullying her or?
How old is the rooster in comparison to the hens?
Is he good to the hens?
