My hen fell over a few weeks ago and wouldn't get up (it's really muddy right now where i live) I rubbed some rubbing alcohol on it (It was red and seemed irritated, i think from the mud) and sent her back after a day as she was doing okay. Now she's back to the same way.
(Note:She will get up and walk, sometimes run)

Is there anything that could help more/combat the mud in the meantime?
(Ps. I'll see if i can get something to cover up some of the mud)

Do you have more chickens? Are you getting a lot of rain or is there some problem with your drainage around the coop? Is your chicken run covered? Sand can be brought in to help drainage, and you can always try to route rainwater away from your coop. Boards or pallets might be a temporary way of dealing with the mud.

It is kind of hard to guess why your hen is falling down. How old is she, and has she been laying eggs recently? Is there any symptoms of an injury, or is she just having balance issues? A reproductive disorder might be causing problems walking around in older hens. I had a hen who lost her balance for about a month once, and then later recovered only to die of salpingitis the next year. Mareks disease might be a possibility if she was not vaccinated, and if she is young.

Thank you! Yes, we have around 15 chickens. right now the rain has slowed down for a bit but it just started again yesterday (some of the rain water sits right outside the coop due to where I've set it up at)

1.She's a few years old (Adult)
2.Shes laying just fine
3.Ive check around for any wounds of sorts and other than a scar at her comb she seem alright.

One of her legs are warm and red though.

4.I went to see if she had any signs of mareks disease and so far she doesn't any except the leg paralysis but then again she walks perfectly fine if she wants to

Her skin on her leg appears very inflamed. I would soak her legs in warm Epsom salts water for 20 minutes daily while inside. Then keep her legs dry, and a dog crate on a clean towel for bedding would be good.

Awesome, thank you! I'll have to try that in the morning
