Two of my hens got into a fight this morning and it’s pretty clear which is the winner.

For the most part she seems fine but I want to know if there’s anything I can do to help. She seems slightly lethargic. She walks around and makes noises but not very much. I’m cleaning her up right now and separating her from the flock until I know what to do.

How is she doing?

Lethargy after an attack is usually shock, so separating her was a good idea. Offer some sugar water or add some electrolytes/vitamins to her water.

You mentioned you were cleaning her up, so I'm sure that's done already:) Combs bleed quite a bit, but did she have any other injuries/puncture wounds from the fight?

Any indication as to why they were fighting - has this hen been sick or feeling "off"?

There's a product called Blu-Kote that you can treat wounds with. It is antiseptic and changes the color of the wound so that they are less likely to get re-pecked. I had to use it on a hen a few days ago. A bully hen ripped her comb and she had blood dripping everywhere, looked like yours. I also had to use a styptic wound powder to stop the bleeding. However, the bully wanted to continue her behavior. It was the last straw when she viciously grabbed and tore that wounded comb again. I got some 'pinless peepers' which are plastic blinders that snap onto a chicken's nose and create a blind spot right in front. They can't see to attack, so they don't. They can still eat, drink, etc, and she seems comfortable enuf. There is peace in my chicken coop now. Anyway, it was the blinders or freezer camp.
blinders.jpg btw, all the blood on my wounded hen's face is gone. I didn't clean it off, but she looks good now.
