Hen Flattery

We have 11 hens and had one roo, which we finally had to rehome about a month ago. After he'd been gone about a week or two, almost every hen started squatting anytime I'd get anywhere near. (I'll oblige and scratch their backs and shake their tails and laugh when they fluff up afterward) Before he left, only one or two of them would squat for people. I guess I feel flattered, since our roo was GORGEOUS! Great for the ego!
