I have a RIR hen that's about 6 months old. I noticed early last week that she was limping and seemed to have injured her right leg. I checked her out, couldn't feel any breaks or dislocations so I hoped she has just twisted it a little. It's been getting worse and worse and now she's acting like the whole right side of her body is paralyzed. She flips on her back and then can't get up on her own, and when we set her back up, she is very wobbly. She also drags her right wing along the ground when she's up. I wrapped the wing to her body yesterday but she pulled it off and I'm not sure it helped all that much while it was one her. She is walking around (unsteady though), eating and drinking but she just keeps falling/flipping over! Has anyone had this happen?

if she has paralysis it could be mareks disease. but with mareks usually one leg sticks out in front and the chicken actually has paralysis. take a look at Marek's disease and see if symptoms fit
hopefully its not that... good luck. best wishes

It could also be Coccidiosis, what does her poop look like ? I had a Buff Orp. chick (14 Weeks old) doing the same thing. We ended up culling her and sending her body to the state Lab. She tested positive for Cocci. You might want to start her on some Corid.
