I recently got rid of my rooster and I've started noticing my hen Stella acting weird. She started trying to crow, she tries to mate with the other hens, and shes started sounding more and more like a roo. I've been getting eggs from her, shes the only one who lays brown eggs so it's easy to tell. But if she's turning tides, is it going to be problematic when my new roo gets here?

Seems like she is trying to be a rooster. Since she has no upline to challenge her, she is now taking over rooster duties.

I'd think she would cause problems with another rooster. Maybe see if one hen goes broody and see if she hatches a rooster.

I'll definitely keep an eye out, but my new roo is gonna be here in like a week or two, and he's a beautiful Onagadori and I'm taking him from a friend because her hens are bulling him so I can't just not take him ya know?

Ya, I know. Getting him some chicks might be a thing. Not sure if he will care, but I know someone here had a broody rooster that took to some chicks.
