hen has knot on neck

went out side today to find my hen has a huge knot hanging from her neck it is on the right side, when i was feeding the other chicks they would speck at her head.. some one told me it could be from maybe her eatting a maggot the pen is clean so Im not sure

Sounds like her crop, it is front right. Watch and see if it goes down overnight. If it does, it just means she had a really good meal! All chickens have them in that area.
