Hen Haven....Chain Link Run.... Construction Progress Photo's

Well, here are some updated photos of the run roof framing and chain link installed for those of you that asked for me to keep the pictures coming. Still have to frame and cover the area of the run in the rear to keep water and sun off the girls. That is next. Hope you enjoy the pic's of our progress.

Very nice job! Very neat set up, how much is going to be shaded? Are you going to give the birds a few outside roost?

Couple suggestions that you may already have in the plans.

Skirt the outside of the run against diggers, plus it will compensate for the ground contours

Line the lower part of the run wire to prevent reach thrus by coon (just need to go the height of the chickens)

Be suRe that each point of contact between the wire and the frame is secure so a critter can't push thru

Thanks for the replys. Plan on shade cloth for about half( or about 12'), That should take care of my setting sun issues. Also, small crepe myrtles in foreground won't take long to be nice little shade trees across the front, Will plant a few more in a week or so.
Wire is stapled very tightly across all of the framing.
do plan on a "digging determent" but as far as worried about reaching in, not too concerned. Have little ankle biters that roam around the coop all day and girls are locked down at night. Plus wife and I are outside always. Note the chairs under tree next to run. It's our beer drinking/chicken watching spot.
