Hen is being picked on

One hen is being picked on by all the other girls, she has a wound on the base of her tail, red and raw... I just bought stop pick liquid to put on her, now I was wondering how do I go about this? Should I seperate her from all the other hens? How long? Or do I put this liquid on her wound and put her back into the coop and check on her religisly? Thank you so much I am new to this...

Coop size ft by ft?.Also what are you feeding them?. And yes separate or they will make it worse.

I would put it on her and separate her until she is healed up. As for re-introducing her, sometimes you can bring a mid-level hen in with her and allow them some bonding time and then re-introduce the two. If you have a very large number of birds, you might consider bringing a third in a bit later and allowing bonding time and then re-introduce the trio.
